Blessed are those who help

For each of us, Christmas may hold a special meaning usually filled with memories of the past as we celebrate the joy of sharing holiday time with loved ones. On December 6th, we created a bit of yuletide cheer with our 4th annual Christmas Market. Because of the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and volunteers we were able to raise some funds to help the 84+ children at the BanYa Learning Center and to assist in the caring of the poor and underprivileged in Phuket.

Our traditional market day included a visit to Santa’s Grotto, beautifully crafted merchandise, delectable foods, and whimsical entertainment. Most importantly we create a special outing for the children of BanYa Learning Center to enjoy some traditions of merriment and a chance to showcase their voices as they serenade us with Christmas caroling.

Donations of all sorts have come in over the past couple of weeks to help the Good Shepherd Sisters assist those less fortunate. We thank each of every one of you … for blessed are those who help.
